BotWorld — Robotics Asset Platform for Models, Motions and Scenes

BotWorld is a discovery and distribution platform built around robot assets. Robot 3D models, motion data, reusable skills, simulation scenarios and complete cases live in one place, where they can be browsed, previewed in 3D and downloaded — and where you can publish your own. Once you have found a robot, you never have to leave the browser to edit it, retarget motion onto it or run it in simulation.

The problem it solves

Embodied intelligence work usually stalls on step one: finding a usable robot model. The available URDFs are scattered across repositories and paper appendices, and the ones you download frequently arrive with missing meshes, missing inertias or hard-coded paths — and just to look at one you first have to install an environment. Motion data and simulation scenarios are worse off: for the most part there is nowhere to search for them at all.

BotWorld collects these assets into a platform that is searchable, previewable and wired into the tools downstream. Every asset can be inspected in 3D in the browser, so you see the structure before committing to it; once you have committed, the asset goes straight into URDF Studio for editing, or on into Motion Studio and BotLab for motion and simulation.

Five classes of asset

Robot models

Robot bodies in URDF, MJCF and SDF — humanoids, quadrupeds, arms, mobile bases and end effectors — with their meshes and physical parameters.

Motion data

Motion assets for retargeting and imitation learning, from raw capture sequences to joint trajectories already fitted to a specific robot.

Skills and projects

Reusable robot skills and complete simulation projects — how something was made to work, not just a model file.

Simulation scenarios

Terrain, environments and scene configuration, for validating a robot inside a concrete task setting.

Plugins

Extensions that bring external tools and custom workflows into the same asset system.

Collections

Themed groupings, for picking up a coherent set of related models, motions and scenes at once.

What the platform does

Where it sits in the platform

BotWorld is the resource entry point for the whole chain. Take a model from here, inspect and edit it in URDF Studio, work its motion in Motion Studio, and validate it in simulation in BotLab. All four products work standalone, and together they form a continuous flow around one shared asset.

Frequently asked questions

Are BotWorld assets free to download?
Publicly published assets can be browsed, previewed in 3D and downloaded; what you may do with one is governed by the licence stated on that asset.
Which robot model formats are supported?
Mainly URDF, MJCF and SDF, with STL, DAE, OBJ and glTF mesh resources alongside them.
What can I do with a downloaded model?
Send it straight into URDF Studio from BotWorld to inspect and edit it, or download it and use it in your own ROS, Gazebo or MuJoCo setup.
Can I upload my own assets?
Yes. Once signed in you can upload models, motion data and simulation projects, and choose whether to make them public.
Do I need an account to browse?
Browsing and previewing public assets needs no account; uploading, favouriting and managing your own assets does.
